Snakeleaf wandered the Afterclan border territory his tanish pelt shimmering. He lead a.. one cat "patrol" just wondering what to do. Snakeleaf scented the air No prey anywhere near me he thought to himself continuing on with the silly patrol.After a while Snakeleaf thought that nothing was going to happen until he heard a twig snap, he whirled around Who's there?

Valorstar stepped out of the bushes, his white pelt containing the odd leaf sticking out from it. "Snakeleaf." He meowed, surprised. He relaxed, his blue eyes sparkling warmly. "Been out patrolling?"

Snakeleaf nodded at Valorstar letting some spiked up fur settle, What are you doing out here? Snakeleaf asked sparking a conversation.

"Same as you." Valorstar chuckled quietly. " Just want to make sure that no foxes or badgers or other creatures that fall into the threat category settle here.. Plus, I just needed to take a walk. My sister can be a little smothering at times." he meowed, smiling at the last statement. "Hmm.. I hope it doesn't get much colder." he meowed thoughtfully as the wind began to pick up. "This leafbare is hard enough as it is without more complications.."

Snakeleaf nodded slowly, not really knowing what to say, Winter always seems to hurt. Maybe it will be calm this year.

Snakeleaf blinked, That's a weird question.. he thought for a second and then said If you weren't good enough for the job, why were you made deputy? I think you are an excellent leader he said kindly. It isn't a lie, and there is no reason for bringing Valorstar down..

Valorstar shrugged. "I don't know.. I was as shocked as any cat to hear my name called for the deputyship. Thanks..." he meowed sighing. "I'm sorry.. I shouldn't be like this. Somedays I can't help it." he meowed, a wry look upon his face. "Hm, I smelled fox the other day, and I need your help to find it. Will you come?"

Will I come? Snakeleaf heard the question echo in his ears. Rare for a leader to ask warriors to come instead of ordering, Sure. Was it a very strong scent? he asked.

Valorstar nodded. "Yes.. so fresh I think it's still here. We have to keep it away from the camp, I don't want any cat harmed, especially the kits and elders." He meowed.

Snakeleaf nodded, We should probably keep it away from Dayclan's border also. I heard Fragilebone had her kits. he suggested. Even if the clans only took care of only their own it wouldn't hurt trying to help the others...especially after Nightclan's chaos..

Snakeleaf bounded after Valorstar, How many do you think were there? Just a loner fox, or a whole family? he wanted to know what to be prepared for if anything was waiting there at all..
