Lifestream felt pain pierce her unbeating heart. "Oh! Im so sorry Frostpaw!" She pulled the she-cat closer to her in a "hugging" fashion. "No cat diserves to die like that." she whispers She licked her head soothingly, trying to make her feel better. She knew what it felt like to have the light fading. But to fall asleep and never awaken. That was hard for me as well.

Frostpaw said nothing, just stared blankly. "That's not what really hurts.... my..my brother- he used to be such a gentle caring cat. oh yes, he had a temper... but..." Her tone deaded. "And look now, he's in Crimsonclan.... It hurts, to see someone you love going in the wrong direction...I honestly wouldn't care if he'd killed me just from shock- I can understand that a little. But to change so completely because of our father's mistake?..."

Lifestream shook her head. "That is hard. And sometimes, its hard to tell what will happen. No one ever really knows for sure." She sighs, licking the apprentice luvingly. She wanted to make Frostpaw feel better, she really did. But she didnt know how to mend that kind of broken heart.

Frostpaw sighed, and sat up straighter. "I just hope..." Her words trailed off. She looked at Lifestream, trying to convey her thankfulness for her kindness..."I hope he comes back." She said finally. "Thanks..Lifestream." She managed a tiny smile.

Seekergaze flicked his tail. "Oh look, Lifestream- Angelpaw is out today. She's not training though..." He peered into the pool. "Why don't you come with us Frostpaw? Its not good to be alone..."

Lifestream nodded, then smiled at Frostpaw. "Any time. Now, we should watch this. It can get very funny watching Angelpaw." she mrrws She started to pad over to Seekergaze, her pelt pressed against Frostpaw comfortingly.

Frostpaw knew they were trying to help, so she shoved her sorrow deep down, where it would be hidden. She sighed and followed the two cats. "Who's Angelpaw?" She meowed. "Is she your daughter?" She meowed, her eyes looking from Seekergaze to Lifestream..

Lifestream had a sad smile. "No. I never had kits." She looked away for a few seconds, pulling herself together. She then smiled at Frostpaw. "She is one of the prophecy cats. She was a kittypet, but was first clanborn. She was suppose to be reborn into Spiritclan, but it never happened." *sighs* "We havent quite figured out how that happened yet."

Frostpaw looked surprised. "Oh, I thought you were her mom... I guess even Starclan doesn't know everything," She meowed. "But... She's in Spiritclan now, right? that's all that matters... What.. What is this prophecy you speak of?" The snowy white she cat meowed, looking up at Lifestream.

Seekergaze watched as Summersun, Painpaw, and Angelpaw padded across thier territory...

"Hmm . . ." Lifestream was silent for a few seconds. She wasnt so sure if she should tell Frostpaw or not. "Well, to tell you the truth. Not all of it is clear to us yet." *sigh*

Frostpaw looked up, a small smile. "Yeah, I figured that." She meowed, looking back down at the apprentice. "So... is she part of the prophecy? Do you know that?"

*nods* "Yes, we know for a fact that Angelpaw is part of the prophecy." Lifestream smiles at Frostpaw.

Lifestream sighs. "That one is Painpaw. He seems to be . . . difficult at times." She shakes her head. "He never really is happy. He was angered that we brought him back to life after he commited suicide. Now, hes been like this, still trying to kill himself." She peered down at him closely. "We dont know what to do . . ." She then looked at Seekergaze. "Seekergaze his his guardian. While im Angelpaws."

Frostpaw looked up. "Guardians? Are all Starclan cats guardians of a cat?" She meowed. "And.. Why would he be angry? He has been given such a wonderful gift..." She whispered wistfully.

"We are only guardeans to Spiritclan cats. And yes, technically, all Starclan cats are." Lifestream sighs. "And he doesnt see it that way."
