Lightbracken stepped out from among the trees, looking around nervously for her new apprentice. She had asked Scarletpaw to meet her here. Had that been a good idea? At the time, she had been enthusiastic about letting her apprentice find her own way around the forest for a bit, so that she would learn it more quickly and also get used to following scent trails...but now she was terrified that her apprentice would get lost.
Images of the young she-cat stumbling around in the woods, lost flashed tormentingly through Lightbracken's mind. She looked around her, panic rising in her chest.
But there was nothing she could do. She would just have to wait and hope.
