Cougarstrike yawned softly, purring as she gazed at Painpaw's peaceful, sleeping expression. She'd hated seeing him so depressed and tortured... She hoped things would get better for Painpaw soon.. She'd do everthing to help him. She lay there, not wanting to wake him up...
Summersun padded out of the warrior's den, smiling at Cougarstrike as he passed by. Winterstripe still slept on, curled around his mate and Painpaw. Winterstripe had gone to sleep really really late last night.. Summersun reflected. He wondered who he'd choose to take with him for the search for Rubykit. Cougarstrike was the normal choice, but as she was expecting, and the kits could come any day, he couldnt this time. The golden tom smiled and took in a deep breath, relishing the cool, dew smelling air of morning. "Angelpawww!" He called, sticking his head into the apprentice den that as of now only housed one apprentice besides painpaw. "Time to get up! Remember? You said you were going to come with me and Painpaw!"

Painpaws ear twitched, then he lifted his head dazidly. Where am i? He yawned, trying to get his bairings.

"Good morning, little one." Cougarstrike's quiet melodious voice meowed. She gave him a gentle lick on his head. "You looked so peaceful, I didn't want to wake you." the tan she cat smiled, purring.

Painpaw shook his head out, then realized who it was. Cougarstrike. How did i get here? His eyes hardened slighlty, and he stood up. "Thank you for your concern." His voice sounded dead, almost.

(probably Ghostspirit or Deafstar, since all the others are busy within camp ^^ )
Cougarstrike's heart broke as she saw Painpaw hide beneath that emotionless shell again. Part of her had hoped he'd shed it for good, but the other part knew it wasn't going to happen anytime soon. She sighed inaudibly. "Well, my little one, Summersun is looking for you. He's probably waiting for you outside..."

Painpaw just bowed his head, then padded away. He was back to his cold, hidden self. He looked for Summersun half-heartedly. I wish i never woke up. He lets out a sigh, hanging his head slightly.

"Good morning Painpaw!" Summersun's cheery voice called out. "Angelpaw's coming with us today. We're gonna skip training for now, and just have some fun and relax a bit. I for one, am way too tired to train." He smiled

Painpaw just shrugged. "Okay." There was no emotion in him any longer. He sat down silenlty, his head still hanging.

Angelpaw peeked her head inside the den, I'm here! she said in a chipper bubbly voice. She made herself fully visible wrapping her ringed tan tail around her fluffy white paws tilting her head at Painpaw, You're okay right? Angelpaw asked nervously, I don't want you to leave...or be in a bad mood. she mentally thought.

"Good, I thought I was going to have to tickle you awake, Angelpaw." Summersun meowed, hiding a grin. "anyways, I'll let you choose the first place, if you'd like Angelpaw. Where do you want to go?" He padded forward, motioning for the two apprentices to follow him... The day was bright and beautiful, the sun shining ever so gently upon the cool earth. The trees over head swayed gently in the breeze, thier boughs leagy and gree...

Painpaw looked up and over at Angelpaw with dull, dead eyes. "Yes?" His voice was just as dead and dull as his eyes. He kept zoning in and out.

Angelpaw smiled with all the warmth she could muster, How are you today? not mentioning her eavesdropping before, We haven't seen eachother in a while, even though I am an apprentice now.
