Summersun's ears picked up the apprentice's conversation... Oh, if only there was a way to make him laugh! Summersun trotted forward, and then stopped. "I know, why don't we visit the meadows? mmm..." Summersun smiled. "The sun feels so good there, so warm and comfortable. Just what my bones need on a cold day like this! C'mon you two. Angelpaw, is there anything you want to do? Play a game... see something... What?"

Not hide and seek- I need to keep an eye on Painpaw, no matter what... he thought with a twinge of sadness. " I know!" The tom's golden eyes lit up. "how about we.....spy on Deafstar? Haha, we can try to see how long it'll take before she notices us. Or, we could play pranks on my brother; always fun to do that." he smiled, remembering his kithood, where he had always played tricks on Winterstripe, then Winterkit.

Angelkit would love the idea of spying on her mentor but if Painpaw was going to be a stupid flea bag then so be it! She could match up to his act. She looked and Summersun blankly and then away, No thanks. she said emptily.

Summersun could have groaned aloud. Now Angelpaw was acting like Painpaw? He sighed. "Fiine, then you'll have to come with me and bear my sunny presence while I play some pranks on Winterstripe." He padded back towards camp, "C'mon Angelpaw and Painpaw. Winterstripe won't sleep all day!"

The whole time, Painpaw said nothing. He stared down at the ground with his ever changing, amber-ish eyes. His paws lightly dragged on the ground. *sigh* "Can i leave? This is stupid." he mutters

(lol what is Summersun to do in something like this? Heeey, what if something happened to him? would that perhaps make Angelpaw and Painpaw grow closer as they work together to rescue him or something, or what if something happens to Cougarstrike when she has her kits or something? lol I have no clueeee)
Summersun groaned. "Oh, you two need to lighten up. Look around you, its a wonderful day! Surely you don't want to spend it doing nothing?"

Angelpaw's claws dug further into the ground, I- her head fell. She did want to do something. But Painpaw....Why can't you tell that I just want to spend time with you? Angelpaw's eyes flicked looking at Painpaw.

(Hmmm.. forget those ideas. What if something happened to either Painpaw or Angelpaw? That might be a 'mini plot' for this thread, what do you think Emerald, Koni? Perhaps..... Angelpaw is washed down river when a sudden storm breaks upon them. Or...She is discovered by the clans, and since she doesn't smell like a rogue or of one of the known clans they hold her captive? I dunno.....=P)
